This project aims to develop more efficient and thorough application processes so that the development of offshore wind can proceed more quickly in the oceans outside of Agder, Rogaland and Vestland in Norway.
The goal of the project is to enable faster development of offshore wind through the development of research-based knowledge and long-term educational / research capacity for efficient license application processes
NORCE leads this project togheter with the research partners; The University of Bergen (UiB), The University of Stavanger (UiS), and The University of Agder (UiA) .
This project brings together a regional research institute, three regional universities, four industry clusters, two national industry associations, seven license applicants and one recycling supplier in an interdisciplinary capacity boost aimed at license application processes.
Project facts:
The four industry clusters in this project are GCE Ocean Technology, Norwegian Offshore Wind Cluster, Norwegian Energy Solutions and GCE NODE.
The seven license applicants in this project are Norseman Wind, Aker Offshore Wind, Eviny (BKK), Shell, NorSea Group, DeepWind Offshore and Agder Energy.
The three county municipalities in this project are Vestland, Rogaland and Agder.
The academic partners in the project are The University of Bergen (UiB), The University of Stavanger (UiS), The University of Agder (UiA) and NORCE(lead).
